Did you know that Boston has the highest Irish population out of all cities in the nation?
Yea, this weekend’s brunch was taken place at an Irish pub, Kinsale.
I threw on my sundress and arrived here right when cocktails were served.
As we were deciding what to order, the waitress brought out their traditional sweet, warm, Irish brown bread as starter.
The chef came right after to greet us and introduced their stellar dishes.
I’m a soup person and I love onion soup.
Comparing to the French, this Irish soldier is much tastier.
And perfectly cheesy.
My neighbor, Bri, went with the caramelized pear salad with encrusted goat cheese.
As far as I know, she loved it.
Second courses came soon after we finished our plates.
Eggs benedict on grilled hams and english muffins.
Customized veggie burger with a side of fancy truffled pop tarts (their signature).
Cinnamon french toasts with grilled apple, drizzled in cranberry sauce.
Nothing beats a plate of nice sweet french toasts on a warm Sunday morning.
I, the brunch monster, went for a full on Irish breakfast plate.
The portion was huge that it could feed a whole village! Ham, fried sausages, 2 sunny-sides-up, toasts, mushrooms, beans, you name it…
Fried chicken on waffle. I would have ordered this if I still eat chicken…
Mud pie – a delicious combination of coffee ice-cream and vanilla ice-cream on oreo crust won the best dessert award from us.
I enjoyed my cheesecake very much.
Kinsale is not only a great joint for brunch, it also holds karaoke nights at 8:30pm every thirsty Thursday! They have an outdoor patio that opens in Summer which means fresh air all day long. I promise you it’s a fun place to go with friends without breaking a bank!
This brunch was organized by Blog & Tweet Boston, sponsored by Kinsale. I wouldn’t recommend it if I didn’t like it.
The blogging world is filled with talented artists, writers, creators and etc. but it seems to have a bad, shallow, materialistic reputation. People only see the final products of our work but there are so much more goes into each one of the post. It’s lovely to meet people in the same shoe with same passion – blogging. I have met some of the coolest bunch every time I attend an event.
Bri (find her here) and I took a stroll in downtown after all the food and endless drinks.
Wish you a wonderful week ahead!
