It’s finally getting chili in nyc! I know, I’m probably the only person who is so excited for the fall but I have a good reason tho. I’ve lived on an island for quite a while, so I know how mandane it could be when you only have summer.

Anyway, you know what goes perfectly for fall? Trench coat and a nice warm bowl of soup!

After a quick search online, Ippudo seems to be THE one.

I’ve never been so ready to emerge into the crisp windy air and head to Ippudo in midtown.

Grey pants are my favorite, you can wear it to work and you can dress down with a sweater or even sweatshirt.

Mine is from Club Monaco, it’s sold out but I found some similar ones if you like them too.

Consider how famous the place is, I would suggest going there a bit early so you don’t have to wait in line for too line.

We got there around 5:30pm and waited no longer than 15 mins.

I may have looked at the menu on yelp for way too long and placed our orders right away.

We started off with some nice buns. They are like little asian burgers with fried chicken covered in sweet sauce, along with some cabbages stuffed in ze fluffy buns.

If you’re gluten free, well, you can just eat the cabbage and meat. :p

I hate to admit but I almost licked the plate.

Highly recommend Hamachi Carpaccio, it is composed with yellowtail sashimi, little pieces of grapefruit finely sit on top of each sashimi, and it finished up with diced peppers, wasabi-avocado relish, and a wafu-shoyu dressing.

Each bite was so fresh, sour, sweet and savory!

I had Akamaru Modern ramen noodle soup, silky noodles swim in pork broth topped with cabbage, sesame, mushrooms, pork slices, scallions, and fragrant garlic oil.

Errol had Tori-Shio ramen soup. It’s a clear soup noodles topped with pork loin, menma(bamboo shoots), minced shiso onion and arako chili pepper.

Ugh, I can seriously eat at Ippudo everyday… no joke!

Just like every good noodle shop, there’s a Japanese styled bar. It’s perfect if you want to grab a quick bite and a quick drink after work.
