I went to NY to pick up my I-20, unfortunately it wasn’t ready on time so I had to cancel my trip to Mexico.

I still shed a few tears just thinking about it.

One ordinary day, I had a craving for Greek food. Greg and I looked up online and found this amazing place with great reviews but the line at that restaurant was way too long so we decided to go somewhere else.

We wandered around east village and went down to lower east side aimed for a less crowded place, Stanton Social magically appeared! JK, it was right down the street and it turned out to be our best decision ever!

We were quickly seated by the waitress on the 2 floor, lounge area.

I can assure you that anything you order here will blow you away.

Greg was skeptical about the cucumber fries at first but after his first bite he fell in love with it. (Obv a must try!)

The Nori Spiced Tuna Poke Wonton turned out to be tacos not wonton… However, the shape of these cute little “wontons” did not change the fact how heavenly delicious they were! (Cilantro, avocado, crushed wasabi peas filled in mini taco shells.)

Since it’s a new place to us and we didn’t have any word-of-the-mouth recommendations, we were pretty unsure about how the dishes were going to turn out.

Anyways, when the miso mushroom arrived I couldn’t stop judging in my head how sad these mushrooms look… It might be the dim lighting because boy was I wrong! It was so yummy.

Last but not least, Hand Pulled Chicken Arepas with jalapeño salsa verde. Super!

Besides the amazing food, trendy music and sexy ambiance, Stanton also has great service.

Promise me you’ll try it if you’re in NY.

Dress up and bring a date!

We finished up with some homemade donuts.

Sometimes the simplest things are the best. Bye creme brulee!
